Cooling Installation in Malden and the Surrounding Area

Come to Evolved Mechanical for new, high-efficiency central air and ductless A/C products

When midsummer temperatures start to sizzle in Greater Boston, your quality of life can drop pretty quickly if your cooling equipment can’t keep up.

For people whose central air conditioning system or ductless A/C is past its prime — or those who are relying on loud and inefficient window units — a home cooling upgrade could make a significant difference to your summer comfort and your electricity bills. We sell and install top-quality central A/C systems and ductless mini-splits — and we stand behind our work. All our technicians are factory-trained, licensed and insured, so you always know that you have the best crew working on your home’s A/C system.

When should you replace an A/C system?

The average life expectancy of a central A/C system is around 15 years. Ductless mini-splits may last closer to 20. However, there are circumstances when you should consider replacing an older A/C instead of paying for a repair:

• If the cost of a repair is more than 50% of the price of new equipment, replacing it is a better idea.
• The current federal minimum energy efficiency rating for air conditioning equipment is 13 SEER. If your current system has a lower SEER rating than that, replacing it could save you considerable money on electricity for years.
• Repairs for systems with outdated equipment (R-22 refrigerant or, as of 2025, R-410A), are becoming more expensive. If your system is one of these, consider upgrading to newer equipment.

Central A/C installations and replacements for Malden & Nearby Towns

We sell world-class central cooling systems from industry-leading brands. Upgrading to new central A/C equipment will be a breath of fresh, cool air for your home. These systems run more quietly, cycle less often and consume less electricity. You’ll notice fewer hot spots in your home and should see some considerable reductions in your energy spending.

Our expert technicians will work hard to complete your installation quickly. Plus, we warranty all our work. If there’s any issue after installation, we’ll fix it right away for free.

Ductless mini-split installations

Older homes in Everett, Malden, Melrose, Revere, Saugus and other parts of the Greater Boston area often have no ductwork to accommodate central A/C, and adding the ducts could cost valuable living space. Our state-of-the-art ductless mini-splits from Mitsubishi Electric are the perfect solution. Using heat pump technology, they efficiently cool your spaces using compact, quiet indoor and outdoor equipment. These systems also offer “zoned cooling,” which allows you to keep different rooms at different temperatures, saving money on your energy spending.

Installation is a snap, too! Our team can complete a whole-house ductless A/C installation in one to two days.
